Let's Make
a Positive Difference
Together

I served two terms in AmeriCorps with afterschool programs addressing critical educational needs. That set me on a career where I strive to make people’s lives better, primarily through work in the nonprofit sector. I also briefly worked in commercial lending at a small community bank. I currently serve on the Appleton Downtown Rotary Board of Directors and Appleton Downtown Incorporated’s Economic Development Council, and previously served as secretary on the Board of Volunteer Fox Cities. While you might say I’m kind of a governance nerd, these experiences provided me with valuable insights into both the assets and needs of our community as well as the challenges many of our friends, family, and neighbors face.
Shortly after my wife, Anna, and I moved into the district seven years ago, a tree fell on our garage during a severe July storm. We were grateful for the outpouring of support from our neighbors who checked in to make sure we were all right and offered to help. Since then, I joined the Historic Central Neighborhood Core Team and coordinate Porchfest, the neighborhood’s annual community gathering, as ways to give back to our community.
